School of Architecture

Carnegie Mellon’s School of Architecture offers fully accredited degree programs that integrate design creativity, historical perspective, social responsibility, wide technical expertise and global environmental awareness. This cross-disciplinary approach has flourished within CMU’s collaborative research and entrepreneurship culture.

Students combine deep practice in the discipline with course and project work in the school and at other colleges to further their professional interests and aspirations. Every School of Architecture student graduates with intensive architecture knowledge, yet no two graduates leave with the same education.

Architecture faculty are active in expanding knowledge in the field through research — in initiatives as diverse as the Applied Architectural Robotics Collective, the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics, Center for Computational Design and the Remaking Cities Institute.

Your support can help CMU architects to create and execute innovative solutions to global challenges in the built environment.
