School of Music
A conservatory program set within a major research university, the Carnegie Mellon School of Music is home to students excel musically and academically. We support them in pursuing an intense course of study: close work with an accomplished musician-teacher, participation in performing ensembles, and academic work in music and other fields.
Every week of the academic year is filled with music performances, recitals, operas and guest artist talks that enrich the life of the university and Pittsburgh communities. CMU provides young musicians with unparalleled opportunities to collaborate with others across the university, from engineers to neuroscientists to roboticists and game-makers.
Your support for the School of Music can sustain CMU’s century-long tradition of music making by attracting top faculty talent and supporting academically gifted music students from all over the world. k
